As informed earlier, we are upgrading our present reseller server to a new SSD Storage and a more powerful server. The new server details are mentioned below:
- Dual Intel Xeon E5-2620 v2
- 24 CPU Cores
- 2 x 1 TB SSD Storage with RAID 1 Technology
- 32 GB RAM
- CloudLinux
In the view of moving between the hardware, there is no downtime expected. However, any data change between the data migration start and the migration completion dates will be lost in this process. Hence, we want to inform you in advance the following important dates in this migration process:
25th June 2019 - Data migration from old server to new server shall begin.
28th June 2019 - Data migration is expected to be completed.
- New IPs will be updated for domain webhostingbd.net and the accounts pointing to our default nameservers i.e ns1.webhostingbd.net and ns2.webhostingbd.net will automatically point to the new server.
- Resellers using private nameservers are requested to change nameservers to the new IPs to point there customers websites to the new server.
- If the data migration process completes before the 28th, we shall expedite the above IP change process and inform our clients about the early changes.
- After pointing to the new server, if there is any account missing/ important data lost during the data transfer process, then customers are requested to immediately convey the same to us through ticket.
29th June 2019 - All sites are expected to be running on the new server.
5h July 2019 - Old server will be dismantled and no data can be recovered after this date. Hence, all the missing data reports to be filed before this date.
Any further updates shall be conveyed through emails & announcements section in the client area. We expect you to forward the same to your customers to avoid any issues later. If you have any further queries regarding this, please open a support ticket.
